Analysis of school meal menus is a costly and time-consuming process. As an individual school or small contractor you probably don’t have the time or resources to go through this process yourselves.
Since 2006 we have nutritionally analysed all our school meal menus and now have five sets of three-week cycles fully analysed, compliant with the nutrient-based standards and accompanied by recipes.
These are tried and tested primary and secondary school menus and recipes.
Our school meal menu cycles are available to purchase from £250 per cycle, including detailed recipes, for use in an individual school. (For more extensive use, please contact us for prices.) Each cycle comes with a full analysis demonstrating compliance with nutrition based standards.

Support to develop meaningful policies and procedures
Are you a school bringing the school meals service in-house? Or perhaps you are a small contractor setting up in order to provide an excellent school meals service in your area? In either case, you will need a full set of meaningful policies and procedures to ensure your service is safe and consistently of a high quality.
We can help you put together a range of procedures, record-keeping documentation and policies to ensure your service is robust and your food hygiene, health and safety, HASSP and COSSH procedures meet the highest standards.
We won’t provide you with an off-the-shelf solution as that would not serve your needs. However, we can work with you to create policies and procedures that suit your situation.
Julia Hallett, our Operations Manager with 15 years experience of school meals catering, can advise you and support you during the development process. We charge a fee for Julia’s time, of course, but we offer excellent value for money and a sound investment in your service.
Support for social enterprises and those considering the option of creating an independent catering service
Are you thinking of going down the path of independence and creating your own organisation to provide the school meals service in your area? Perhaps you like the idea but don’t quite know how it could work? Or do you want to consider the options before making a decision?
We can offer a support and advice service based on our experiences of creating Whole School Meals. We can offer support if you plan to participate in a local authority tender process; setting up financial systems for multi-site catering; making grant applications; seeking loan finance and more.
Depending on the extent of support you would like, we may charge a reasonable fee for our time, negotiated and agreed in advance. But in any case we are happy to talk to you by phone and see if we can help.
